The Cover Model for NBA 2K22 Has Appears to Be Leaked

  • One of the most frequently asked questions about each new release in the NBA 2K franchise is usually about the person who appears on the game's box art. In recent years, the franchise has shifted to featuring a variety of different iconic basketball stars; one of the two is typically an active player, while the other is typically a retired legend. When it comes to this year's upcoming release of NBA 2K22, it appears as though we have a better idea of who will be featured on one of the two covers.

According to a new leak on Reddit (which has been confirmed as legitimate by reporter Jason Schreier), Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki is set to appear as the cover athlete for NBA 2K22. Since Nowitzki is no longer a current active player, it is likely that he will appear on the Legend Edition, despite the leak not explicitly stating so. Nowitzki himself retired in 2019 and is widely regarded as one of the best power forwards to ever play in the NBA. He has worked with the most effective players in the league, leaving Buy MT NBA 2K22 Reddit players all over the world extremely satisfied.

It's worth noting that Schreier himself has stated that he isn't certain that Nowitzki will be an accurate cover star for NBA 2K22. However, as he later noted on social media, because everything else in this leak (which is all associated with 2K Games) is accurate, there is a good chance that Nowitzki will also be gracing one of the game's covers. At this time, there isn't anything else we can tell you about NBA 2K22 that is official.2K Sports hasn't even officially announced this year's edition of the game, and it isn't likely to do so until after the NBA Playoffs are completed. Regardless, it's almost a given that the game will make an appearance at some point during this summer. And, if everything goes according to plan, NBA 2K22 will most likely launch in September, as it has in the past.

So, what do you think about the possibility of Dirk Nowitzki appearing on the box art for NBA 2K22? Would you have chosen a different player to grace the cover? Please share all of your thoughts with me either in the comments section or via email.
